From Jerry Thomas' 1862 Bartender's Guide. Death & Co. recipe ▌ Raff Rating ★★★★

  • 2 oz Bourbon (Buffalo Trace)

  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice

  • 3/4 oz Simple Syrup

  • 1 Egg White

Ingredients

Dry shake all the ingredients to foam up the egg white, then shake again with ice to chill and dilute.  Double strain into a rocks glass over a large cube.  Dash of Angostura bitters on top and garnish with an orange and cherry flag.
