In the Pines, Under the Palmes

From True Laurel in SF via San Francisco Cocktails book

  • 3/4 oz gin

  • 3/4 oz Toasted coconut rye

  • 3/4 oz Oliveros vermouth

  • 1/4 oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur

  • 1/4 oz water

  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Redwood or pine sprout

Ingredients

  1. Wet stir in mixing glass

  2. Strain into rocks glass & garnish with redwood or pine

Coconut rye: Liter of rye in mason jar. Simmer in saucepan 2 tblsp coconut oil. Add 1 cup coconut flakes & remove from heat. Stir & brown flakes.  Add to mason jar.  Seal & shake. Sit 10 min then shake again.  Freezer overnight.  Strain.
